As you can tell from the title, the OUAI Body Cream in ‘melrose place’ is my all-time new favourite moisturiser. I got it only at the start of October, but it’s already part of my staple products due to its quality and gorgeousness.
I’ve never been someone who likes to drench themselves in body moisturiser before bed. I’m religious about sorting out my face, but I’ve been quite happy to put up with dry knees and elbows and completely neglect my poor, old, dry feet. Not anymore.
After seeing some of the Tiktokers I follow use OUAI, I decided to treat myself. And it really is a treat. This big 212g tub cost me £34. I don’t mind trying things once; it’s the dread of loving them and the upkeep of a regular purchase that I’m worried about!
It’s a big tub, so I’m hoping it lasts for a while. If it does, I won’t mind forking out once every few months.

How do you use the cream?
I tend to apply it all over my body (except my face) in the evening, after a shower, and just before I go to bed.
I don’t use it on my face due to my (undiagnosed) fungal acne. The OUAI cream contains gorgeous, rich ingredients, which unfortunately aren’t good if you have fungal acne. I’ve been using it on my body and haven’t noticed a problem. I would steer away from using it on your face, though, if you suffer from acne.
Ingredients like coconut oil and shea butter are amazing for softening skin but can clog pores.
What are the primary ingredients, and why are they so special?
OUAI Body Crème is a real treat for the skin! It’s packed with hydrating heroes like cupuaçu butter, which gives it that rich, whipped texture while locking in moisture. Then there’s squalane (from olives!) and coconut oil, which work together to soften and smooth without any greasy feel.
It makes my skin feel luxurious and gives a hydration boost that lasts even into the following day. It sinks into my skin within minutes and doesn’t feel greasy, so there’s no awkward waiting for it to soak in before I put on my pyjamas!
Is the cream cruelty-free and vegan?
They are a cruelty-free brand (hurrah!), and this product is vegan, which we love! However, not all of them are, so they aren’t classed as a vegan brand.
How does it smell?
I got melrose place.
It’s a gorgeous smell but one that isn’t overpowering. I really don’t like strong smells, especially those I put on before bed, because they stay with me all night.
It’s a very girlie smell. Sometimes, my husband uses my products, but with this, he won’t—I take that as a win! I love sandalwood, white musk and jasmine, so I thought I’d take the risk with it. I’m so glad I did (although my bank isn’t).
The smell lasts into the following day, too, which surprised me. It’s one of the reasons why I’m so impressed and will be buying it again. I have never bought a moisturiser that lasted into the following day, and that’s saying something after all the products I’ve tried in my 37 years.
What skin types is it suitable for?
OUAI Body Crème is good for many skin types. It’s good for dry skin needing intense moisture (like my knees) or sensitive skin needing gentle hydration.
The ingredients don’t include common irritants like parabens and phthalates.
How much is it? Where can I buy it?
It was £34 from Amazon. It’s available on Cult Beauty, and OUAI’s website theouai.co.uk.
For the price, you get a big 212g tub. So really… it should last at least a few months. That’s 50p a day if it lasts two months! Bargain!
What else do OUAI sell?
I’ve got my eyes on the body scrub I will ask for for Christmas. I’m currently working my way through a Neom body wash and my promise is I only use one at a time.
They do a ton of hair treatments, including shampoo/conditioner, oils, and hair masks.
OUAI Body Crème dupe
If spending £38 on a body cream is too much (understandable), Aldi is selling an OUAI dupe from its famous Lacura range. I’ve got it, and it’s excellent in comparison.
I bought it in October and haven’t seen it in the store since, so keep your eyes out. I’m not sure it’s always available. It was £3.99.
