I’ve been taking NMN from Vivanmn.com for around 5 weeks now, so figured it was time to write a review on what I’ve noticed.

TL;DR: I’m absolutely loving it. I’ve NEVER before noticed a difference so quickly and consistently with any medicine or vitamin I’ve taken.

I’m going to explain how it’s made me feel, what it’s helped with and why I’d recommend it.

Why did I decide to try NMM?

I’ve recently started taking a daily NMN supplement (500mg) because I felt myself becoming more tired and less motivated to do pretty much anything. After a day of work, I was getting sick and tired of… me and my energy levels. I felt like I was living to work. After work, not wanting to do anything made me feel like I was wasting my life.

For context, I’m 38, female, I have a 9-5 sedentary job and like to work out 3-4 times a week. I hit 5k daily steps, which means a daily walk. We don’t have kids, but I have a house, a husband, a job, several animals to look after, dogs to walk and hobbies to fit in.

Russell Kane interview

I listened to the Virgin Radio podcast where Russell Kane (a comedian) talked about his lifestyle. It really hit home when he mentioned that he’s going to Ibiza this summer – 2 times – when all his friends at home are moaning because they’re tired – that’s exactly what I’m doing! I’m constantly tired! I moan about it because I’m completely sick of it.

What did I need help with?

After reading the thousands of reviews, I had high hopes that taking NMN would help with brain fog (caused by my other medicine, more info on this below), tiredness and general motivation to get shit done.

After 5 weeks, my motivation to get shit done has massively improved. Tiredness has improved slightly – enough to notice. I haven’t noticed improvements with brain fog, but I just feel like I’m making the most of each day and not letting the tiredness take over.

What are my results from taking NMN?

After 3 days of taking 500mg daily, I’m not joking, I felt different. I felt more motivated to get things done. Even small things, like tidying or cleaning the house, whilst my lunch was cooking, when previously I’d sit on the couch & scroll.

It’s improved by motivation to do things, rather than by improving my energy levels. I’m still tired by the end of the day, but now I feel a desire and determination to get more stuff done (not because I have to, but because I want to be productive).

I feel less squidgy around the edges. I know this reads like I’m a crazy person. But I feel more put together.

Since I’ve been taking it for over a month, I’ve even noticed improvements in my nerve pain. I have trigeminal neuralgia, and although I take medicine for it (more info on this below), I’ve noticed less pain. I’ve been able to reduce my med dosage by 20%. Every so often, I go through peaks and troughs of pain, so it might just be that, BUT it’s not normally this long of reduced pain. So, of course, I’m very happy with this.

Working out and steps

As I have a sedentary 9-5 job, I don’t get in many steps without effort. With my tiredness, the thought of going for a walk on my lunch, before/after work, isn’t something I’d normally make time for.

Not any more!

Not only have I been consistent with daily walks to get my steps in, but I’m also finding the desire/motivation to do other workouts too. From jogging to pilates and weightlifting.

Garmin app – my step count has increased

Since starting NMN around the 17th May, my daily steps going into June are consistently higher than ever. Every day I am hitting my 5k goal, indicated with a green line. Before starting, I wasn’t bothered about hitting a daily movement goal – I am now and do not go to bed without hitting it.

If I haven’t met it yet, as part of my bedtime reading, I simply read whilst walking around my upstairs!

I’m still not motivated enough to do much before work starts (it doesn’t do miracles), but I’m much happier to use my lunch, or once I’ve finished work to get some movement in – even if it’s a 20-minute pilates YouTube video, or 15 minutes of weightlifting, or 20-minute walk on my treadmill.

I’ve started working out more consistently:

This only includes the gym – not the pilates sessions which total 5 between 1-28 June.

It took longer for my motivation to get going, but once it did, it’s much more consistent

Period pain

I’ve only had one period so far whilst taking NMN, but I felt reduced bloating and only one day of pain instead of my usual two-three. The pain didn’t feel so bad either – I took less paracetamol than usual.

What is vivanmn?

vivanmn.com is a UK company that sells NMN supplements.

NMN stands for Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, a compound that has become popular recently among people interested in healthy ageing and longevity research.

  • NMN is a naturally occurring molecule that the body converts into NAD, which is essential for energy production, DNA repair, and overall cellular function.
  • Research suggests that NMN supplementation may improve insulin sensitivity, reduce drowsiness, and enhance aerobic capacity; however, further studies in humans are needed to confirm these benefits.
  • NMN can be obtained through the diet by consuming foods like avocados, broccoli, cabbage, tomatoes, and raw beef. Supplementation is considered safe at doses of up to 1,200 mg daily.

Any negatives or side effects with using NMN?

No, absolutely none that I can tell. From what I’ve read about possible side effects, some people experience headaches or an upset stomach.

Is NMN the same as caffeine?

No. NMN is already made in your body (it just slows down with age). For me, NMN doesn’t feel like having a coffee. I don’t get a sudden burst of energy or a buzz. Instead, I feel more motivated and slightly less tired throughout the day. I don’t get jitters or feel on edge with NMN.

I’ve reduced my daily coffees, but only from 3 to 2. I still enjoy my morning brew and afternoon pick-up.

Does NMN slow aging?

Yes!

NMN plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including energy production, DNA repair, and cellular communication. As we age, the levels of NAD+ in our body naturally decline, leading to a decrease in these vital cellular functions, which are associated with the aging process.

Risks with other medicines

I personally didn’t check with my doctor, but you’re supposed to. I take carbamazepine for nerve pain, which I know is contributing to my drowsiness. I know the NMN wouldn’t stop it, but I had high hopes that it might improve it.

Although I’m still tired, I’m not as tired as before NMN. I obviously can’t say for sure, but since I’ve been taking NMN, my nerve pain has been consistently at bay. It normally goes through peaks and troughs, so it might just be that, but I’m monitoring it closely as the weeks turn into months.

How much is NMN from Vivanmn.com?

For 30 tabs from vivanmn.com, which is a month’s supply, it’s £29.99 if you buy using ‘one-time purchase’. I did this initially so I could see if I liked it.

I now buy the 3-month subscription and get a massive discount. It’s £44.99 for 3 months.

Is Vivanmn.com a credible and trustworthy brand?

Before buying, I read a lot of the customer reviews on their website vivanmn.com (over 12k at the time of writing). I also checked out their social media, which showed no sign of any dodginess. There’s lots of positive comments on their Instagram posts and plenty of followers, which also gave me positive evidence.

I hadn’t heard of them before I googled NMN. They seem to be a very popular brand for it, and only sell one product! This tells me they focus on it and are therefore experts (a lot of presumptions here, but still).

They list all ingredients and include a recent (May 2026) research link showing their capsules don’t contain lead, arsenic, cadmium, or mercury.

Vivanmn.com also have a 100-day money-back guarantee, which again, is a big plus. I haven’t used it, so I don’t know the process or how easy it is, though.
